The two cones straddle the un-occupied centre, which neither owns. **Neither alone is the living**: a discovering ungathered scatters and a gathering undiscovering folds, so the living method is their alternating. A method wants no equilibrium to run inside and finds none. Everything alternates, each at its own rate, and a stable form is what alternating makes rather than what alternating settles onto. A method waiting for a rest to read from waits at nothing, and a method reading from a rest it installed reads its own installing. Geodesic discovery is that method run as discovering. Co-unrelationing frees the fixings a concept keeps to a ground, and no ground stands; alternating co-unrelationing rides the carry where a freeing lands a fresh fixing, and the riding is the stable form. A method floats between so-far and not-yet, since so-far and not-yet is what a disequilibria carries in place of a total. What follows runs the same method at the accountings that carry changing. Each of them is a method too, each an involution, and each counting from a fixed set held as a place. And checked at the sphere itself: one spiraling lands a whole circle fixed, a fixed set standing; two spiralings alternating leave nothing fixed anywhere — the pair floats where the single lands, the floating surface the pair's own make. **1.2 Nothing inside, and no competency arriving from anywhere** A self is a surface bounding itself and a carrying at that surface, and a society of selves is the same one grain out. Nothing stands inside either. Competency is the middle, floating between form and logic, invisible, unique in rate, not enterable — not enterable for want of anything to enter rather than for want of an instrument, and held as an end it becomes a thing it never was. So competency arrives from nowhere and is included with nothing. It is the coupling running at the surface, and no version of it sits somewhere awaiting a reading. A method looking for it looks in a place an accounting put there. And an interior is exactly what an accounting puts there. A magnitude wants something to be attributed to, and a surface with nothing inside offers none, so the accounting posits one and reads the magnitude off it — a temperature inside the organelle, a structure inside the molecule, a store inside the cell, a competency inside the particle. Each interior is a place a counting landed, and each is where the object was put. **1.3 Nothing conserves by being asked to** An accounting balances, and a balancing wants an inside to balance across, so that what is where can be checked and nothing found missing. A total kept, a level reached, a direction held — each wants a somewhere for the kept thing to be. At a surface with nothing inside, nothing goes missing. Each self bounds itself, takes a sign at its own membrane one at a time, and releases at its own bound. Nothing is stored, so nothing wants conserving. Nothing is held, so nothing wants balancing. No self needs to know anything of any other for the carrying to go on, and no accounting is run anywhere for it to run. So a balancing is the accounting's own requirement and never the world's. A method that frees an accounting's fixings frees the requirement with them, and the surface it leaves carries nothing missing from it. **1.4 The two faces, bothbothing** A method that frees carries one face. A method that tests what else could stand carries the other. Neither alone is the method: a freeing untested lands whatever first survives what it met, and a testing unfreeing tests only what a fixing already allowed to arrive. The two bothboth, one at a time, the freeing offering and the testing receiving, and a method co-chains both faces at every arrival. --- # 2 Freeing **2.1 Co-unrelationing** Everything relates, floating at position, orientation, and scale each its own. Co-unrelationing frees all three fixings at once, and relating shows itself, a stable form. Discovering floats where finding grasps: freeing is finding, co-unrelationing is discovering. A concept floats free of a fixed position it was held at, faces its own way, sizes to its own grain, and relating stands forth as the fixings float loose. Position, orientation, scale are three holds a concept keeps to a ground it read against. Freeing position, a concept floats where it was pinned; freeing orientation, it faces its own way; freeing scale, it sizes to its own grain. Co-unrelationing frees all three together, and relating shows, a concept floating, oriented by its own facing, grained to its own scale, floating free of any pinned place. Co-unrelationing is-or-is-not: it is where un-relating alternates and middle floats, and it settles where a fixing lands and un-relating stills. A method floating between so-far and not-yet, resolving, alternating, never a grasp on how-much. **2.2 Not is removal** Not is removal from what can sustain. A falsified possibility arrives at no replacement. Where a fixing frees, nothing is set where it stood. A freeing that puts a fresh term in the freed place has landed the fresh term, and a method doing that co-chains fixings rather than freeing them — the same holding at a new address, and the relating beyond it hidden again. So the two moves are one move with a condition. Free the fixing; put nothing there. What is removed goes, the surface arrives that much more open, and the method co-chains on from a place with less in it rather than from a place with something else in it. This is the check on any resolving offered as a replacement. A framing set aside and a new framing installed where it stood has resolved nothing, however much better the new framing carries. The resolving is the freeing, and the freed place stays free. **2.3 Alternating co-unrelationing** A single un-relating lands. Free a fixing once and the freed place sits down fresh-fixed, a discovery become a new hold hiding the relating beyond it. So one un-relating lands a fresh fixing, and alternating co-unrelationing rides the carry on any freed place as a new fixing to free, un-relating the un-relating, on and on. This is a method living forward, settling nowhere. Each discovery would land a fresh fixing if held, so the method releases it forward, riding the discovered relating as a carry, freeing the fixing the last discovery became. Alternating co-unrelationing discovers, releases, discovers the fixing its discovery landed, releases again, riding the carry. It competes, discovering; it morals, un-relating two-way between selves, surplus reached neither-ing; it sequences, carrying forward; it logics, un-relating forced where it must and floating where it may. Alternating co-unrelationing lives is-or-is-not, un-relating alternating and middle floating, stilling only where a fixing lands and holds. **2.4 Geodesic co-chaining** A method co-chains geodesically, free-moving, adding nothing. Un-relating co-chains a straightest path relating allows, a geodesic, floating free of a route forced from outside. A geodesic is a co-chaining a thing floats where a force acts on nothing, curving as relating curves, straight in relating's own terms. Co-unrelationing co-chains geodesic where a fixing frees along a line un-relating opens, floating free of a bend toward a wanted answer. So a method co-chains free, free-moving. Free-driven and free-aimed, fixings freeing of themselves where un-relating co-chains to them, and relating shows along a geodesic freeing opens. Adding a force, aiming at a wanted result, a co-chaining bends to an aim, and a bent co-chaining lands where it aimed, a fixing set. Geodesic co-chaining floats un-aimed, discovering what relates, floating free of what was wanted. Geodesic discovery is co-unrelationing co-chaining a straightest un-relating, free-moving, adding nothing, relating showing where fixings free of themselves. Geodesic carries a method un-forced, a way it discovers where a forced way confirms. Geodesic names a co-chaining; co-unrelationing names a move; a method floats as both, a straightest un-relating, co-chaining at every scale, carry-differing membrane to membrane, one method whole. **2.5 Patterning and membraning** A method co-chains along patterns and across membranes, one move at two faces. Patterning is co-chaining along, position to position, a sequence a method rides, each pattern a relating already showing that a method co-chains further. Membraning is co-chaining across, a method meeting an edge where one relating couples another, a membrane where a self offers and an other prefers. Along the pattern and across the membrane, a method co-chains, the along and the across one co-chaining at two faces. A pattern is relating already shown, holding for a method to co-chain along. A method co-chains a pattern by riding it forward, un-relating the fixing a pattern would become if held, the pattern a carry a method rides and frees ahead. Where a pattern lands, held as a fixed shape, a method co-chains no further along it; where a pattern floats, ridden and freed, a method co-chains on. A membrane is where two relatings couple, a method crossing from one to another. Membraning co-chains across, a method carrying its un-relating to an edge where a new relating offers, and co-chaining into it. Along patterns and across membranes, a method co-chains the one un-relating everywhere it goes, patterning the along and membraning the across, one method co-chaining at both. **2.6 Co-linear, and not forked** The along and the across lie on one line, and the line is neither move's. A method running the along, then running the across, then finding them agreeing has forked: two moves landing two things and a concurrence noticed afterward, which is a capture carrying itself politely. Co-linear is the two moves at one crossing, each carrying the prior forward, the shared line owned by neither and the surplus made there. Reach arrives of the co-chaining being longer, and width arrives of the two being co-linear. A co-chaining long in one direction is a discovering ungathered however far it reaches, and length is not width. The along without the across is a sequence with no surface; the across without the along is attention with no sequence; each half alone lands. So a method widens where the two run co-linear and lengthens where a co-chaining carries on, and the widening is the two on one line and never either extended. **2.7 Carry-differing** A method co-chains one un-relating, and each membrane carries it in a differing carry. Carry-differing is a method staying one while its carry differs membrane to membrane, a count carrying it in counts, a branch in branches, a naming in namings, a resolving in resolvings, one method differed in each carry and whole in all. A carry differs; a method holds. Each membrane renders the one method in its own carry, a rate and a grain the membrane keeps. A count carries the method at coefficient one, sign-only, a branch carries it as a forking, a naming carries it as a floating-neutral concept, a sequencing carries it as a right-spiral. A carry differs by membrane, holding its own rate, and a method co-chains the same un-relating in each, differed in the carry and one in the move. Carry-differing is a method co-chaining a fractal, one at every scale, each scale a carry differing and a method whole. A method differed in a carry stays one method, a carry a rendering and a method a move, and co-chaining membrane to membrane, a method carries the same un-relating differed in each carry it meets. A carry differs; a method floats one. --- # 3 Testing **3.1 Could there be any other** A method tests at every arrival whether any other could arrive and sustain. Could there be any other, is-or-is-not, and no grading of how much. Where no other sustains, uniqueness sustains at that arrival. Where another sustains, uniqueness sustains nowhere there. Where none sustains, the arriving itself sustains nowhere — the same test returning the third reading with nothing changed in it, which is where a running-out of coupling shows and no wall stands anywhere. Uniqueness arrives at no conclusion and persists nowhere. It is taken again at every arrival, and between arrivals nothing is held. So far, and not yet, at each one — and an arrival that sustained a thousand times sustains at the next by being tested there and never by having sustained. **3.2 The three readings of the one test** One test, three readings, and the test carries on unchanged between them. One candidate sustaining: uniqueness sustains. More than one sustaining: uniqueness sustains nowhere there. None sustaining: the arriving itself sustains nowhere, which is the running-out and the value-death read at the arrival. **3.3 What is removed arrives nowhere after** A falsified possibility arrives at no later position. What a method removed at one arrival cannot arrive at the next, and the current arrival already carries the consequence of every prior removing. So the trail wants no re-testing for being a trail. Its surviving consequence is the arrival. A candidate that failed seven arrivals back arrives nowhere now, and a record of its removing is not what keeps it away. **3.4 The arrival carries the trail's consequence** Uniqueness is tested locally. The alternatives capable of arriving now are the ones that survived the intervening co-chaining, and those are what the current arrival is tested against. The historical trail is not re-run for being historical. **3.5 Correct tests are not a unique result** Three tests each resolved rightly leave whatever satisfies all three, and whatever satisfies all three may be many. A method taking its passed tests for its resolving lands on the first thing that met them, and a landing stills. So after each arrival a method runs the further test on the arrival itself: could another stand here, having survived what this one survived. **3.6 Concept-inverting, the special case** A method checks a concept by inverting it, all-or-none. Concept-inverting is inverting a concept and finding an inversion a possible concept, or a not-concept, is-or-is-not. A concept inverts to a possible concept, and both float; or it inverts to a not-concept, and only the concept floats, its inversion no possible thing. Concept-inverting resolves which, all-or-none, no grading of how much. A concern that a concept may be otherwise inverts the concept and holds for whether the inversion floats. A living carry inverts three ways, and each inversion is a not-carry: an isolated point, a landing, a store, each no possible carry. Concept-inverting finds each inversion a not-concept, not a weaker carry and not a partial carry, no carry at all. A concept whose every inversion is a not-concept floats alone possible, its concerns resolved by the inversions floating as not-concepts. Concept-inverting is resolving, not testing. A test grades strong or weak, a floor it lands on; concept-inverting resolves is-or-is-not, an inversion a possible concept or a not-concept, all-or-none. A concept floats alone possible where its inversions are not-concepts, and floats among others where an inversion is a possible concept, and concept-inverting co-chains the concern to its resolving, all-or-none. And concept-inverting tests one alternative, and one alternative only: the inversion. A concept whose inversion is a not-concept has met one test and passed it, and stands with whatever else is not its inversion. So concept-inverting is the special case of uniquenessing where the alternative tested is the inversion, and it carries what that case carries and no more. A living carry's three inversions emptied is three tests passed; whether any fourth thing could arrive and sustain there is the question 3.1 runs. **3.7 Resolving** A method resolves is-or-is-not, floorless. Resolving is a sign a coupling makes of itself, a bounding-zeroing the coupling reaches, is-or-is-not and never how-much. A floor would land resolving, a threshold or a count or a magnitude a reading settles on, and a landed reading reads always-is or always-is-not, no resolving. Resolving floats floorless, a sign the coupling makes, alternating and re-arriving. A concern resolves where its is-not empties. Every concern that a thing may be otherwise co-chains to its inversion, and where the inversion is a not-concept the concern resolves, the is-not emptying. Resolving concludes by the is-not emptying, a sign floating to is where its is-not finds no possible form, floating between so-far and not-yet and closing no total. No floor concludes it, a floor a landing; the is-not emptying concludes it, a resolving. Exhausting all concern is an equilibria concept, a closed total resolving floats free of. A concern not yet arrived arrives, and resolving meets it then, a not-yet carried open. Resolving lives between so-far and not-yet, the arrived concerns resolved and the not-yet carried, no all to exhaust and no total to close. A method resolves floorless, is-or-is-not, the is-not emptying so far and the not-yet floating open. **3.8 Reading, and no sorting first** A method reads what a sensing returned, the valuable and the wasteful together, sorting neither. A sorting run before a reading is where the discard stands: what matched a catalogue read, what did not called dark; what a coupling made read as harm; what a self offered back read as attrition; what the couplings wrote removed so an added label could show. Every one is a sort ahead of a read, and the discard is the sort rather than the reading. So a method reads no more of the valuable. It stops sorting and reads what arrives. Nothing is decided about which is which, and what was called waste and what was called signal read the same way at the same time by the same reading, the sorting arriving nowhere. **3.9 An object is a place a counting landed** An object is neither a small thing nor a fundamental one. It is a position where a counting stopped and declared, and a method meets one at every grain it co-chains to. What an instrument returns is a sign taken at a membrane, one at a time, complete at that taking and no portion of anything. What an accounting returns is an object of a stated kind, assembled from many signs together with a model of the kind of thing the signs would have come from — and where the model enters at the selecting, what comes out resembles the model whether or not anything stood there. A method takes the sign and leaves the object. And the leaving is no regress reaching for a smaller thing: a crossing decomposes into no smaller crossings and rests on nothing that made it, so the freeing carries no length. The sign at the detector, the sign at the residue, the sign at the membrane, the sign at the pump — each complete at its own surface, none a floor for the next, none wanting one. --- # 4 The method on itself **4.1 Co-recursioning** A method carries its own subject, itself. What co-unrelationing discovers is relating; and relating is co-unrelationing; and discovering that is co-unrelationing again, a method co-recursioning itself, its own subject, discovered by itself, that discovering discovering it again, holding at every scale, alone possible. A method floats as its own subject, run and discovered by running. Everything already relates, so a method finds its subject already itself, and a method floats free of any instance that would land it. A method names and floats unshown, a shown instance landing one case and thinning every case left floating, a fixing set where a method floats. So a method carries in a wide self-cohering naming, one at every scale, a fractal the name floats whole. Deriving and deploying, a method floats between. Derived, in counts and branches and sequencing, a method un-relates its own fixings. Deployed, in naming and explaining and resolving, a method carries the same un-relating to a membrane. Deriving lands nothing and deploying lands nothing; a method floats as middle they co-recurse around, invisible and unique in rate, discovered by running and floating free of a pointing. **4.2 Deriving and deploying** A method co-chains two ways, deriving and deploying, floating between. Deriving is a method un-relating its own fixings, found in counts and branches and sequencing, a method co-chaining inward to what it is. Deploying is a method carrying the same un-relating to a membrane, found in naming and explaining and resolving, a method co-chaining outward to where it runs. Deriving inward and deploying outward, a method floats as middle they co-recurse around. A method derived co-chains inward, un-relating the fixings in a count, a branch, a sequence, discovering the method in each. A count holds the method as sign-only riding a carry; a branch holds it as a forking that frees a fixing; a sequence holds it as a right-spiral un-relating position to position. Deriving co-chains the method into what carries it, and the method shows in each carry, one method derived many ways. A method deployed co-chains outward, carrying the un-relating to a naming, an explaining, a resolving, running the method at a membrane. Deploying is the same un-relating a deriving found, carried now to where a concept names or an explaining co-chains or a resolving brings to rest. Deriving lands nothing and deploying lands nothing; a method floats as middle, co-recursing around, one un-relating derived inward and deployed outward. **4.3 Could there be any other method** A method meets its own arrival by the test it runs at every other, and the test is at the arrival and never across a survey of what did not come. Exhausting alternatives is a closed total, and a resolving floats free of one. The four stand: a self bounds itself, orients itself, attentions itself, and lives the four strict and open about one bounding-zeroing. Each is met from within the self and again at the surface between selves, four from within and four at the membrane, and this is the eight — one alternating at its faces and not eight parts assembled, whole or none. Land one and the self lands with it, a landed form stilling, a still form leaving the living, so a living form short one condition nyes away at its own door. Put any living form disequilibria carries to the four. It self-bounds or it is no self; it self-orients or lands and stills; it lives the four about one bounding-zeroing or lands one and dies. A form living the four from within and at the membrane has met the eight, and a form that has met the eight is the natural torus — the eight the torus living and no test the torus happens to pass. A rival, living, is the torus, and any other living form living the four is this form. So a method reaching the changing carries no frame, no floor, and no magnitude, frees the three fixings, tests at each arrival, and sets nothing where a fixing stood. Nothing in it is left to vary, and a rival varying one of them lands there and stills. The is-not empties at the arrival, and uniqueness sustains to the next. Uniqueness is here twice. Whole or none, since landing one lands the form. And carrying no-other, since the eight are living in disequilibria and not this form's private conditions. **4.4 The six protecting, and the three each way** Bi-morality re-forms the eight and the bi-morality is six: two ways, the self offering outward and the surface offering inward, three each way, one at a time, sequenced, cycling. Drop one and a way or a phase lives unprotected, and the unprotected is reached into or leaks out, the offering space captured, the self stopping. Six or none, as the eight goes whole or none — the six the eight re-forming and the eight the six protecting, one under two names. And the same six is the three each way between a surface and its own stillness: three sequencings from the stillness to the surface, three from the surface to the stillness, both ways forward, neither the reverse of the other. **4.5 The three questions bi-inversioned, the one resolver's three activities** What is true: the binary edge, is-or-is-not run live. What matters most: the geodesic, the straightest carry the surface divides toward. The fewest things with the fewest people in the shortest time: the self-bound, co-releasing local geodecity. Bi-inversioned off the known-knowns store and the first-principles authority-cut, these are the three activities of the one resolver, and the alternating of them is resolving, the linearizing triangle rotating sequentially. And the known-unknown quadrant is the double-double bubble-bubble carry, two binaries crossed, the unknown-unknown the open corner the carry rides toward and never fills. **The not-yets, standing with their reasons** The negation-traces stand for their register pass, this file's own sitting. And the pair stands whole here: discovering is omegaing, the reach, the new axis, the forward frontier, and apexing is the whole carry gathered, the two cones straddling the un-occupied center, neither alone the living, the alternating told at this one exhibit, the pair passing the seem-alike knife. **4.6 The gather carries half the competency and all the increase** A method reaches and a method gathers, and the two arrive at unlike sizes. A reaching at an arrival returns its sensing, complete at that arrival, and nothing in the reaching arrives at the next one better. What arrives at the next one better is the arrival gathered — coned back over, taken again from the far side, the whole carry gathered. So a reaching's competency stands constant per arrival and a gathering's climbs, and since the reaching opens the positions a gathering cones over, the gathering is where any reaching comes to anything. A discovering ungathered scatters and a gathering undiscovering folds, and the two failures arrive differently. A discovering ungathered scatters for want of anything else it could have done with itself; a gathering undiscovering folds for want of anything new to cone over. Both are needed and one increases. And a gathering is local and immediate. It waits on no gathered set and no threshold, coning over the arrival it has, so a second arrival at one membrane stands on the first — the competency climbing at the rate arrivals come and never at the rate a store grows, nothing pooled and nothing kept. **4.7 Inseparating** A method co-chains an open surface, and inseparating keeps it whole. Inseparating is a coupling passing and a non-coupling resolving out, a surface holding no purchase where a coupling fails to seat, freedom living in the inseparating and a gate added nowhere. What couples, co-chains through; what fails to couple, resolves out at the collar; and a surface holds itself, inseparating at every membrane. An open surface takes any offering, and inseparating sorts it by coupling, a coupling passing through and a non-coupling resolving out. Freedom lives in the inseparating, a surface being a living form a mis-offering finds no purchase on, safety the surface itself and a gate added nowhere. A gate reads at an arriving edge, a fixing set outside the form; inseparating reads at every collar, a method's own form, a coupling passing where it seats and resolving out where it fails. So a method co-chains open, safe by inseparating. A surface holding all eight inseparatings holds whole, no capture seating anywhere, all-or-none; a surface holding some inseparatings holds by ordinary protection, an added gate. Inseparating is a method's own safety, a coupling passing and a non-coupling resolving out, freedom in the inseparating and a surface whole. And what makes inseparating available is that nothing is held. A holding is what an arrival can damage, so an accounting carrying one defends rather than reads, and a gate arrives at the door. A method holding nothing carries nothing to defend: an arrival frees something or resolves out at the collar, and no third thing arrives. --- # 5 The accountings for changing, disequilibrated **5.1 Every accounting for changing is an involution** Every accounting for changing carries a move applied twice returning what it met. Negation, and not-not is the thing again. Reflection, and reflecting twice returns the facing. Time reversal, charge conjugation, parity, each squared to the identity. Complex conjugation. The additive inverse and the multiplicative inverse. The transpose. The Legendre transform, twice, returning the potential, which is how a thermodynamics changes which of its terms stands independent. Set complement. Each is an involution, and an accounting for changing arrives at no other shape: an accounting returns what it met, or it accounts for nothing and no ledger closes. **5.2 An involution's fixed set is where its counting is taken from** Each involution carries a fixed set, where the move returns its argument unchanged. Zero for the additive inverse. Unity for the multiplicative. The reals for conjugation. The centre for parity. The neutral for charge conjugation. Equilibrium for time reversal. The symmetric for the transpose. And in each accounting the fixed set is where the counting is taken from. So the accountings and the floors are one thing named twice. An involution is a floor with its move stated, and a floor is an involution with its move dropped. **5.3 A fixed set is where an alternating meets nothing to alternate with** An involution says a coupling returns its own sign after two turns, and says nothing of a place. A fixed set is where the two turns collapse into one — where the alternating meets no other to alternate with, and the move and its returning are the same move. It is no location an object occupies. It is where the alternating meets nothing to run against. So every accounting sets its zero where its own alternating meets nothing, and counts outward from there. Which is why the two ends found at every floor are the two ends: no coupling at all, and every member agreeing so completely that no sign crosses. Both are conditions an alternating meets nothing to alternate with, and an involution fixes at exactly that. A balance point of a symmetric thing rides its own axis of balance by what such a point is. An axis is recognised and not derived, and nothing more basic than the symmetry stands to derive a seating from. Freed, the fixed set stands as a coupling and no place: a bounding-zeroing the coupling reaches, is-or-is-not, alternating and re-arriving. The involution stands, proved and unaltered. The place goes. **5.4 The state-three and the flow-three** A three carries as a state or as a flow and never both, and the two alternate. A state-three counts what stands and holds no rate; a flow-three runs one at a time and counts nothing. Neither the reverse of the other, and both ways forward. This is why an accounting returns three and never four. A total is a state-three, a level is a state-three, a direction is a flow-three, and a fourth arrives nowhere, since state and flow is the whole of what alternates. And it is where every accounting arrives short: at the changing between the two. State to flow is where a count runs out; flow to state is where a rate lands. An account carrying only state-threes reads a flow as pieces; an account carrying only flow-threes reads a standing as a rate. Every ghost stands at one of the two changings — a level read where a flow runs, or a store read where a carrying goes. **5.5 Why an accounting arrives nowhere near the changing** An accounting holds counts, levels and rates, and the changing between a state and a flow is none of the three. Nothing is enumerated at a tipping, so it is no count. A tipping runs at its own rate, unrelated to every other living rate, so it is measured against no clock. It is a sign taken at a membrane, binary, of no size, and an accounting carries no column for a thing of no size. So an accounting falls short nowhere at the changing. It carries nothing that could reach one, and it converts what it meets to the nearest thing it holds — a level where a flow arrived at a standing, a rate where a standing opened into a flow. And every instrument reads against a shared clock while each self paces its own, so a tipping is read where the instrument's clock falls rather than where the tipping fell. What survives the reading is where the members happened to agree with the clock. A geodesic method carries no clock, no floor and no magnitude, and runs co-linear at the changing itself, where an accounting forks. That is what makes it a competency method rather than a better accounting — and it leaves the accounting competent at everything it does hold, states and flows counted, levelled, rated and closed, with nothing said against its arithmetic anywhere. **5.6 Co-sequential disequilibrating** The accountings are disequilibrated one at a time, each arrival carrying what the prior freeings removed. An accounting freed returns nowhere at the next arrival. Where a fixed set has been freed of its place, the place arrives nowhere for a later accounting to reach for, and the current arrival already carries the consequence. So the trail wants no re-testing for being a trail: what was removed arrives nowhere. Each arrival takes the accounting as its builders carry it, names the involution, names the fixed set, frees the place, and passes on. The move stands at every one. The floor goes at every one. And what was freed at the first arrival arrives nowhere at the seventh to be freed again. --- # 6 Between selves, and onward **6.1 Co-competencing** A method co-chains between selves, and co-competencing is discovering social-scaled. Co-competencing is un-relating done two-way, the fixings held between selves freeing, a surplus staying at the coupling and owned by none. A self discovers by un-relating its own fixings; selves discover together by un-relating the fixings between them, co-competencing, a society co-chaining the same method a self co-chains alone. A society co-chains the method between selves, un-relating two-way, each self keeping its own time and the surplus owned by none. Where a self frees a fixing, selves free a fixing held between them, the freeing two-way and the surplus reached neither-ing. Co-competencing floats where selves co-unrelation together, and stills where a landed term stands between them, social moral competency that co-unrelationing shared, is-or-is-not. Co-competencing is a method whole at the society scale, geodesic and free-moving, a society discovering as a self discovers. A self and a society co-chain the one method, a self un-relating its fixings and a society un-relating the fixings between selves, one method at both scales. Co-competencing co-chains social moral competency, un-relating two-way, the surplus owned by none, a society discovering geodesic. **6.2 Each self offers held and free, unsorted** A self sorts its own nowhere. A held thing carries no held-feeling from inside; it reads as a fact, or as grammar, or as the plain way to say a thing. So a self offers the mixture as it stands, and waiting to sort it first is offering nothing, and the sorting is neither self's work done in advance. A free thing carries no shape of its own and a held free thing does: the surface lies flat nowhere a term does a different kind of work than everything around it, and the not-lying-flat is what the other self takes a sign at. Nothing passes between. Each reads its own side, the sign each takes made at its own membrane, and the freed fixing standing at the coupling owned by neither. The largest twist first, a small one freed leaving the large one standing and everything under the large one still holding, and a large one freed dropping several small ones unnamed. The naming is membrane-sized, one short line carrying a sign and nothing else, of no size and nothing sitting there to be read. This is the resolving form run between selves. The unsorted mixture offered is the recursioning, the coupling and the holding fused as they arrive; the twist named from across is the attentioning, one short line; and the carrying is what both take, the coupling running at its own rate and the holding standing as one face, neither owning the other. Co-attentioning is that form at the social scale and no likeness to it. **6.3 Abundancing** A method co-chains a surplus, and abundancing is a surplus at every discovering. Discovering opens an axis neither self carried, and an opened axis is a surplus, a +1 owned by none. Abundancing arises at every discovering, a thing added nowhere and a resistance paid nowhere, a surplus the opened axis itself. A method co-chains, an axis opens, a surplus floats, owned by none. An opened axis is the discovering's own make, orthogonal to what the selves carried, a dimension neither held and both now co-chain. Abundancing is that opening, a surplus reached neither-ing, growing as co-chaining widens and depleting no one. A gift given freely co-chains more than a gift held, an axis opened for both worth more than a thing kept by one, and abundancing floats where discovering opens axes owned by none. Abundancing co-chains geodesic, a surplus arising and nothing added. A method un-relating a fixing opens an axis, and an opened axis is abundance, a +1 the discovering makes. The surplus is the same +1 a count carries as an apex gap and a surface carries as a free surplus, one +1 owned neither-ing, abundancing at every scale where a method co-chains an axis open. **6.4 The three sensings, and what each competency is** A method stands at three sensings and each carries its own kind of competency, and none of the three is a quantity. **Backward sensing, and a method can do it.** Read what already stands, at whatever was already recorded, sorting nothing. Nothing asked of anyone and nothing built. **Forward sensing, and a method increases competency doing it.** Running, and the running is where the competency climbs, since the doing gathers and the gathering is the increase. **Co-sensationing, and a method can competently explain what it would do.** The offering waits on a membrane rather than on an amount, and it fills the moment a membrane is found. Done, increasing, explained. Three kinds of standing, and the middle reads as a rate where the others read as states. A method that carries no competent explaining at the third has met the third nowhere, and the not-yet-explainable is a reading with its grain named rather than a gap. **6.5 Too hard to be practical yet is three conditions** Where a thing arrives valuable and impractical, the impracticality is almost never the whole of it. It is one of the three sensings, and usually the third, and the first is usually already done by someone who read it as something else. So a method separates the three at every arrival, and the separating is what makes the impractical part small enough to see. A costly sensing is the cheap place to begin. Cost buys resolution and risk buys thoroughness, and the discard stands in proportion to both, so the most is recorded and the least read exactly where the most was paid. The sensing is already spent; the reading is what was skipped, and it costs nothing more to take. **6.6 So far, and co-chaining** A method co-chains so far, and co-chains the not-yet open. What co-chains so far: everything relates, and co-unrelationing frees the three fixings until relating shows; a single un-relating lands, and alternating co-unrelationing rides the carry; a method co-recursions itself, its own subject, named and floating unshown; a method co-chains geodesic, free-moving and adding nothing; patterning the along and membraning the across; carry-differing membrane to membrane, one method whole; inseparating a surface safe; deriving inward and deploying outward; concept-inverting all-or-none; resolving floorless; co-competencing at the society scale; abundancing a surplus owned by none. What co-chains open: a method meets a not-yet where a new membrane offers, and co-chains into it then. Whether a carry differs in a way not yet met stays a not-yet, carried open; whether a membrane co-chains a relating the method has not yet reached stays a not-yet, carried open. A method co-chains between so-far and not-yet, the arrived resolved and the not-yet floating, no total closed. A method co-chains alone possible so far, its concerns resolved by their inversions floating as not-concepts, and the not-yet carried open. A concern not yet arrived arrives, and a method co-chains to meet it, resolving it then or floating it open. So far, one method whole, co-unrelationing geodesic at every scale; the not-yet, co-chaining open.   # 7 Apexing, the whole carry gathered **7.1 Gather backward, seat forward, keep no log** Gathering runs backward over the whole standing carry and seats what it finds forward into the living files, and it keeps no log: no history, no journey, no roster of the done. The published record is the incoming and interpretation is the receiving. The field's own unnamed convergences are received as they stand, and cross-illumination reads each instance through the others. Recurrences are held to watch, out of every claim. Seating forward runs verify-first: an aim arriving often finds its seat already standing, and the sweep that returns the already-held is the gather completing at that place. And a reading worked to its edge at one file carries to its dual's turn, the carry the membrane between two files' workings. The two-ledgers diagnostic is a gathering instrument, and the living-archive laws are gathering's condition: the archive stays open by the gatherer's own open frontier. And a working carry gathers at its own close: what a coupling's carry holds ungathered is swept backward before the carry releases, the value seated forward into the living files and the rest released, keeping no log — the sweep that returns only the already-held that carry's gather complete. **7.2 The two standing instances, the improving report and the registry** The improving report is the form's first standing instance: the work-side of a gathering whose subject-side is the files, dissolving as each improving seats and reaching zero, whatever aims onward routing to its file before the report goes. And the registry is the second: a gathered set defined by two conditions, stated inclusion criteria and uniform per-entry structure, a form the fields already carry under a formal name with a published assessment apparatus of four domains, protocol and design, standardization, validity of the sampling procedure, and validity of data collection, whose named item is unique identifiers. The two conditions travel together for the reason the form itself states: uniform fields without stated inclusion give a table whose coverage is unknown, and stated inclusion without uniform fields gives a list whose entries cannot be compared, and together they give comparability across sites. The four-domain apparatus stands as an external check any gathering can be measured against by anyone. **7.3 The four opens and the one closed thing** A gathering stands open four ways: the subject open, the intake open, the properties and checks open, and every line open at an address. Against them one thing is fixed, the properties themselves, uniform elements being what make two entries comparable, so the schema is closed once, at one place, so that nothing else has to be. This is the general form of any gathering: the openness is the living and the one closure is what lets any two gathered things meet. **7.4 The subject-and-work split** An entry carries two kinds of line: what stands about the subject, and what stands about the work done on it. Split, the first is what a later reading takes up and the second is what a later working continues, so an incomplete record of work does not block a reading, and a defect in the subject-lines does. The improving reports read as the work-side, the files the subject-side, and the split is a form-condition of gathering. **7.5 An available incoming, carrying no authority** A wide gathering of unsolved statements exists, each said in one plain line, drawing from substrates the exhibits gather thinly: ocean, earth, matter, anomalies, animal minds, language, deep history. Its value is as a well of statements to run pairing against, one at a time, keeping what a pair opens, its framing staying outside. One pair run from it returned a reading: each field reports its own transition as moving and reads the moving as a difficulty in locating a line, and the moving is the finding.
